Window & Door FAQ
Answers to common questions about windows, glass and doors from HOP Windows in Port Orchard.
Frequently asked questions
Can you replace just the glass instead of the whole window?
Yes. When the window frame is still in good shape, replacing just the glass can be an option. We look over your window and walk you through your options, including full window replacement if the frame is worn out. See our glass replacement page.
My window is foggy between the panes. Can it be fixed?
Fog or moisture between the panes usually means the seal on the glass has failed. In many cases the glass can be replaced and the frame stays. If the window itself is worn, a new window may make more sense. We will look at it with you and explain your options.
How long does window or door installation take?
It depends on how many windows or doors you are replacing and what kind they are. We go over the timing with you during your free estimate. Our installers carefully measure, fit, and install your windows, and clean up when the job is done.
Do you replace sliding glass doors?
Yes. If your sliding glass door sticks, lets in drafts, or has fogged glass between the panes, we can replace it. See our sliding glass door replacement page.
Do you install entry doors, French doors and patio doors?
Yes. HOP Windows works on windows, glass and doors, including front entry doors, French patio doors and sliding patio doors. See our entry door replacement page.
What window brands do you carry?
We source from Coeur D’Alene Window Co., Milgard, Andersen & Lindsay, with vinyl and Fibrex windows. We help you pick the style and material that fit your home.
